Ingredients:
4 preserved malagueta peppers, minced, , or to taste
1 tsp salt
1 small onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
5 juice of 5 limes
Instructions:
Place the malagueta peppers and salt in a mortar and crush them with
the pestle or process them in a blender or food processor until you
have a thick paste. Gradually add the onion and garlic and continue
to mash into the paste. Then add lime juice to the paste, mashing as
you do, until you have a liquid sauce. Cover with plastic wrap, allow
to stand at room temperature for half an hour, and serve. Makes about
1/2 cup.
